Cosmo Arena

Community Rules

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Cosmo Arena is a competitive game. Trash talk between opponents is part of it. These rules are the line between that and the things that drive people out of a game for good.

Not allowed

How the rules are enforced

Three things run at once:

  1. An automatic filter. Every chat line is checked before anyone sees it. Crude swearing comes out as symbols — $%!^@ — so the message still arrives and the word does not. Slurs are censored the same way and also cost the sender a strike; three strikes inside ten minutes is an automatic mute, then an hour, then a day.
  2. Blocking, in your hands. Tap any player's name — in the lobby, in the in-match player list, or on any chat line — and choose Block. It takes effect immediately, the other player is never told, and from then on neither of you sees the other's messages. Manage your list in the game under Profile → Safety & privacy.
  3. Reports, reviewed by a moderator. The same menu has Report. The report arrives with the recent chat from that room attached, so it is judged in context. We aim to review every report within 24 hours; the outcome can be a mute, a suspension from online play, or removal of the account.

Reporting is not the same as blocking. Block to stop hearing someone. Report to have us do something about them. If someone is being abusive, do both — the "Send and block" button does exactly that in one press.

What happens to your report

Reports go into a moderation queue that a human reads. We look at the reported messages, the surrounding conversation and any earlier reports about the same account. Consequences scale with what happened and whether it has happened before, from a temporary mute to permanent removal. We do not tell you what action was taken against another player — but the report is read.

If you were muted or suspended

You will be told why and for how long, in the game. If you think it was wrong, write to hello@cosmoarena.co with your callsign and we will look at it again. Evading a suspension with a second account turns a temporary suspension into a permanent one.

False reports

Reporting someone because you lost is itself a rules violation. The queue is small and read by a person; wasting it takes attention away from someone who actually needs help.
